About the Dam Team
We are a just a few Dam local guys who decided to open up a Dam bar in Folsom.
Located in the shadows of the dam, two blocks from the police station, 3 blocks from the prison, across from the zoo, and along the Johnny Cash trail, we are in the perfect spot to serve Folsom’s best and finest. Let us serve you a cold beer, the cocktail of your choice, and some great food while you watch a game, or just relax and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. This community is served by the best police officers, EMT and fire personnel, correctional officers, and veterans in the state. Along with all our customers, we want to serve you back!
This Dam bar has been more than 2 years in the making. Ultimately, our timing wasn’t exactly perfect. Our planned first day happened to coincide with the March 13 shut down orders. A Friday the 13th to always remember! Thankfully, our community is getting past that stage in our storied history and has come through the other side stronger than ever. We are truly Folsom Strong!
We opened Folsom Dam Bar in the aftermath of Covid-19, because we wanted to offer this community a gathering spot in an old and familiar location. A friendly and welcoming place where friends and strangers can come together and share as one. We take inspiration in the words of the immortal Johnny Cash:
“This business I’m in is different. It’s special. The people around me feel like brothers and sisters. We hardly know each other, but we’re that close; somehow there’s been an immediate bonding between total strangers. We share each other’s triumphs, and when one of us gets hurt, we all bleed – it’s corny, I know, but it’s true. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. It’s great.
